Visitation
Visitors are welcome at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville; however, for our patient's well-being, we ask that our visitors observe our general and area specific regulations. We believe the patient comes first, and it is our duty to protect the patient's health, safety, security, well-being and comfort, while providing for family visitation. Please view our Patient Visitation Rights for more information.
General Regulations
Waiting Areas
Waiting areas are available for visitors in the Main Lobby, Emergency Department, Same Day Surgery, Radiology, Merle M. Mahr Cancer Center, Critical Care areas and all patient care floors. An additional waiting room is available on the first level for families of Cath Lab.
Critical Care
Visitation is subject to the patients condition and discretion of the patients nurse.
If conditions within the unit make visiting at regular times inadvisable, the nurse may delay the time of a regular visiting period and reschedule at a more appropriate time. Likewise, the nurse may request visitors to leave the patient areas in order to facilitate the treatment of any patient.
Special permission must be obtained before children under 14 years of age may visit a patient on Critical Care.
Chapel
A chaplain is available to provide support and pastoral care to you and your family. If you would like the Chaplain to visit you, please dial 5205, or ask your nurse for assistance. Our chapel is located near the visitor elevators on the first floor of the hospital and is open 24 hours a day.
