Improving care, enhancing community
Emergency Assistance >

Baptist Health began as a single hospital in 1924 with the opening of the 120-bed Kentucky Baptist Hospital in Louisville. The system was formed following the opening in 1953 of the 117-bed Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah and the 1954 opening of the 173-bed Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. Trover Health System in Madisonville joined the Baptist family in November 2012.

Baptist Health Deaconess Foundation Madisonville continues this heritage of service and leadership by fostering partnerships to further enhance the quality medical care provided by the hospital. Donations to the foundation help our physicians, staff and other care providers go beyond the medical needs of our patients.

Private support provides funds for new facilities, advanced technology and equipment, and specialized training for physicians, nurses and staff. It also provides funds for complementary therapies, support groups, community health screenings and extra services that make a patient’s hospital stay more comfortable.
